I think the most famous Lao people in America are probably a Lao family from the animated TV show, King of the Hill.

The Souphanousinphone family are Lao immigrants to America. I haven’t watched too much of the show but I don’t think they play up the Lao aspects of the family too much. From what I’ve seen they represent America’s aspirational immigrants.
