If you’re going on a group tour, or travelling with another person, there’s one skill that’s very important for the quality of your trip: photography. If you get a travelling companion with excellent photography skills your holiday is going to seem a lot better when you reflect back on it by browsing the photos you’ve taken.

With digital photography I think there’s a bit of an information overload when it comes to browsing through your post holiday photos. I think you need to be vicious and willing to cull photographs that aren’t perfect. If it doesn’t have a great story or you wouldn’t want to frame it, is it really worth keeping? At least I think it’s a good idea to prioritise your photos and hide the ones that are not the best. I know of friends that have come back with 1000s of photos that will take them longer than their holiday to sort through, photoshop and work out what to print etc.
